Frequently asked questions
Asset-Based Lending software digitises the ABL process: it connects borrower data, automates borrowing base calculations and provides real-time collateral and portfolio insight — replacing manual spreadsheets and monthly reporting cycles.
Finterface continuously monitors Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) across inventory, accounts receivable and general ledger data. Lenders can configure their own risk factors and thresholds, with automated alerts when warning or critical levels are reached.
Multiple risk factors can also be combined into a borrower-level Risk Score, giving ABL teams a consistent way to identify emerging risks and prioritise attention across the portfolio.
Finterface manages the onboarding process together with the lender and borrower:
- Kick-off – We align with the borrower on their systems, data sources, contacts and timeline.
- Connect – We establish the connection to the borrower’s systems. This requires minimal technical capacity on the borrower side.
- Map and configure – Finterface maps the borrower’s data to the platform and configures the required data flows.
- Validate – Together with the borrower, we check that the data is complete, accurate and correctly represented.
- Configure the facility – Together with the lender, we configure and validate the Credit Agreement and relevant parameters.
- Go live – Once the configuration has been approved, the borrower goes live and data can be updated automatically at the agreed frequency.
Protecting confidential borrower data is a core part of how Finterface operates. Our Information Security Management System is ISO 27001 certified, providing a structured framework for managing information security.
Finterface uses secure connections to access relevant data from borrowers’ systems, such as ERP, accounting and warehouse management systems. Borrowers retain ownership of their data, while access is restricted to authorised users. Finterface does not sell or commercially exploit borrower data, and connections to borrower systems are stopped when the contractual relationship ends.
