Medior Data Analyst

Ready to apply your analytical skills where data, finance and technology come together?

Finterface helps banks and financial institutions make faster, better-informed financing decisions using real-time business data.

As a Medior Data Analyst, you will turn financial and operational data into reliable insights that support credit risk assessment and financing decisions.

This is not a behind-the-scenes data role. You will work directly with clients, develop a thorough understanding of their financial processes and gradually take ownership of your own banking relationships.

Your role

You will work at the intersection of data, finance and IT. Your analyses and reporting will help banks understand risk, monitor financed assets and make well-informed decisions.

The role combines hands-on analytical work with regular client interaction. One day, you might validate a dataset or investigate an issue using SQL. The next, you could discuss reporting requirements with a bank, finance team or CFO.

As you develop, you will have a clear path towards becoming the primary point of contact for your own bank relationships, taking responsibility for both the analysis and the client relationship.

What you’ll do

  • Analyse, validate and interpret financial and operational data.
  • Use SQL to investigate, structure and verify data.
  • Build and improve reporting that supports credit risk assessment and financing decisions.
  • Identify inconsistencies, trends and insights that matter to our clients.
  • Work directly with banks, lenders and borrowers on data, processes and reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across data, technology and finance.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Asset-Based Lending and the role data plays in financing decisions.
  • Gradually take on greater ownership and become a trusted adviser to our clients.

What we’re looking for

You enjoy getting to the bottom of data, but you are equally comfortable discussing what the numbers mean for a client and their financing decisions.

Ideally, you bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a relevant field.
  • Two to seven years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, finance, consulting, banking or a comparable environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL.
  • A strong affinity with IT and financial processes.
  • An interest in credit risk, financial data and financing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and spoken Dutch and English. French language skills would be an advantage.
  • The confidence to work with different stakeholders, from IT specialists and finance teams to senior management.
  • The curiosity and ambition to keep learning and take on greater client responsibility.

Most importantly, you enjoy working with clients. You are comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and taking ownership when needed.

Why Finterface?

  • A clear growth path. Develop from an analyst into a role where you manage your own banking relationships, supported by focused training and guidance.
  • Direct exposure to banks and corporates. Your work contributes to real financing and risk decisions.
  • Varied, multidisciplinary work. Combine data analysis, finance, technology and client interaction in one role.
  • Hybrid working. Work remotely with regular opportunities to collaborate with the team in Breda.
  • An open and approachable team. Your ideas matter, initiative is valued and questions are encouraged.
  • International ambitions. Join a fintech company as it expands its presence across Europe.
  • Meaningful work. Help make business financing more transparent, data-driven and reliable.

What we offer

  • Full-time or part-time employment, with the prospect of a permanent contract.
  • A pension scheme.
  • A travel allowance.
  • Hybrid working from our office in Breda and remotely.
